本種は北海道から九州に分布する。海外では台湾、韓国、中国、フィリピン、オーストラリア、チリからも記録されている。寄主植物はクワの葉。体と翅がほぼ一様に淡色であることでP. bhattiiと識別できる。

This species is distributed from Hokkaido to Kyusyu, and it is also recorded from Taiwan, Korea, China, Philippines, Australia and Chile. It breeds on the leaves of Morus bombycis [Moraceae]. It can be distinguished from P. bhattii by the pale body and wings.
